Secretary's Day. Professional Admin Day. Whatever you call it, it's just around the corner. April 27 to be exact and believe it or not, it's important.
I could quote studies about work place productivity. I could talk about the impact of florals on work place moral. I could even go into the effect that visible acts of appreciation has on employee loyalty.
However, I am choosing a simpler route to why this day is important.
This day is actually a day that recognizes the above & beyond that your support staff does. They don't have to but they do. It should actually be called "Professional Staff-that-makes-sure-you-don't-look-STUPID-Day"
And honestly, isn't that worth a bouquet, a card, and possibly a lunch at Applebees? Just saying . . . . .
