Winter Woes

Winter Woes

It's winter again.  After the initial snow fall, after finding that perfect snuggly sweater, after drinking that first warm cup of cocoa with extra marshmellows,  the excitement and love for the season is GONE!  I'm ready, as is almost everyone above the Mason Dixon line, for pops of color bursting out of the dirt.  I'm ready for warm rays of sunshine hitting my skin.  (And the corresponding slathering of sun screen).  These gray skies and arctic blasts are getting old.

However, I am luckier than most.  I have devised a temporary band-aid of Spring.

First I go to work.  Second I pull up Jimmy Buffet on Pandora. And lastly, take the flowers out of the cooler and place them around my desk.   Instant Spring/Summer.   For added measure, I crank up my portable heater to a bazillion & take my shoes off.  I do everything I can to keep the Warm Weather Buzz.   Again, I am lucky.

My buzz on can be achieved by pretty much anyone.  Iris, tulips, roses.  All available anytime.  Just call me.  I can hook a friend up.    You don't have to suffer the winter woes.  It is perfectly acceptable to buy your own flowers.  Actually, I think of it as more medicinal.   Hmmm  I wonder if this makes them tax deductible?
